Opening the Closet...
Welcome to my family closet... a place where I will share everything I am researching about my family tree. Just a few years ago I knew almost nothing about our family history except for a few surnames of my grandparents and a small file of photocopied notes from one of my great aunts. But before long, by using the internet, I had many intriguing branches on the tree. The information quickly grew out of control!
More recently I have been researching many of the extended branches of the tree and this has led to some really fascinating discoveries, including Acadian ancestors, and a Dutch branch that were very early settlers of New York City.
A lot of research has been done by other people and is readily available on the web, but as my files kept growing larger I felt the need to organize my findings into something interesting for my family. Why do the work twice when I've already gathered so much info already?
So here we go... it's time to open the closet...
